The description of the panel is as follows: Durbin, who died on February 26th in Valencia, Spain, was the unacknowledged founder of SPT. His book, _Philosophy of Technology: In Search of Discourse Synthesis_ (2005, as special issue of Techne, vol. 10, no. 2 at https://scholar.lib.vt.edu/ejournals/SPT/v10n2/index.html), focuses on contributions of the 12 presidents during that time, but highlights as well most other significant contributors. It is in typical Paul fashion, a somewhat personal, quirky volume, but nonetheless a valuable document, and probably the best history of ideas and arguments in SPT over a 30 year period. This panel is intended as something like a posthumous author meets critics session. *** All SPT presidents (former and current), anyone referenced by Durbin in the book, and former students and collaborators are invited to participate in the panel or offer written comments. *** Those currently confirmed for the panel are Carl Mitcham, chair, Alex Michelos (2nd president), Joe Pitt (5th president), Larry Hickman (7th president), Paul Thompson (12th president), and Don Ihde (who promises comments "Since 2005"). Ana Cuevas, Albert Borgmann, and Langdon Winner have promised written comments. If you are able to participate in the panel or contribute written comments, please contact Carl Mitcham at cmitcham@mines.edu. All the best, Glen Miller, Martin Peterson, and the local organizing committee
