We are pleased to announce that the 2019 preliminary program is now availa=
ble online=2C via the ASA website (https://africanstudies.org/wp-content/u=
ploads/2017/08/2019-ASA-Preliminary-Program.pdf) .

This version of the program is based on data submitted during the original=
 CFP. Updates to Names=2C Titles=2C and Affiliations received subsequently=
 are not yet reflected in this document. Updated versions of the program i=
ntegrating these updates will be uploaded to the site approximately every=
 two weeks. The next update of the program will be made available online o=
n July 31=2C 2019. All requests for revision of names=2C affiliations=2C o=
r paper titles received by July 26=2C 2019 will be reflected in the subseq=
uent version.

If you are participating in the program and have updates to the way that y=
our name=2C affiliation=2C email=2C or paper title appear in the program=
=2C you will find detailed instructions here (https://africanstudies.org/2=
019-asa-annual-meeting-submissions-for-proposals-update-form/) on how to u=
pdate your information.

Congratulations to the 2019 Program Committee for creating a superb progra=
m!  The ASA has negotiated a rate of $254 per night for Annual Meeting att=
