Dear Colleagues,

Thank you again for all your ideas and contributions for the DH Africa
forum! Below you will find information about the DH Africa forum and the
next steps required for the Network for Digital Humanities in Africa=E2=80=
=99s
website.

DH Africa Forum and google form

The Forum will take place Friday 24 July 2020 @2PM CET.

Chao kindly created the following Google form -
https://forms.gle/LdpjXWJmNJPpfsWL6 - which will also serve as the
registration form for the forum, you are welcome to circulate this to
colleagues as well.


The form will enable us to collect your valued comments and ideas relating
to your main forum theme i.e. how to make DH in Africa more inclusive and
remove barriers to access while ensuring the ethical use and access to data
by communities and other stakeholders. It will also allow us to provide the
connection details to the event.


As discussed at our last meeting we invite and welcome colleagues to share
this invitation to contribute a wide variety of comments relating to the
forum theme as discussed and noted in the following shared google document

*Short talks*

If you want to give a short talk about a DH topic, get in touch with
Juan.Steyn@nwu.ac.za. We know some people have submitted papers for the
main DH2020 conference, and the forum will be an opportunity to showcase
talks and presentations that cannot take place physically.

Everybody is welcome to write a blog post for the website to discuss a DH
related theme, or to showcase a DH project or an event you want to share
with the network. Feel free to write a blog post (no more than 700 words,
pictures are welcome!) and send it to dhafrica2019@gmail.com .

members and a dedicated space to share more results pertaining to the forum
