Augustine A Farinola (DI Alumnus, 2007; Lecturer, Currently a Lecturer at Dominican University) Philosophy at the Dominican Institute, Ibadan, gave me an invaluable experience and this has equipped me with mental, social, emotional, and intellectual resources needed to cope with the challenges of life anywhere I find myself. The Professors (and virtually all the lecturers) really set the foundation for my quest for excellence in life. They urged us to discuss what we have learnt and ensure that theories are contextualized in a way that we experience a blend of theory and praxis. Our class participation went beyond question-asking, we were made to render presentations, as well as obliged to submit weekly summary of a reviewed classical texts (works of Great Scholars within various Philosophical Tradition). After four years of assiduous study and disciplined schedules, I did not just gain advancement in critical and innovative thinking, I have also developed several skills (especially in Music and Computing). Today, my academic and entrepreneurial engagements testify to the solid foundation laid during my training at the Dominican Institute, Ibadan.
